Over 1,000 faculty and staff members at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) gathered on 14 February to welcome in the Year of the Pig at a party organised by the Human Resources Office.

Professor Way Kuo, University President, kicked off the celebrations with a welcome speech and was joined by vice-presidents, deans and heads of units to extend their best wishes to everyone at CityU.

In addition to a splendid lunch buffet, participants enjoyed a series of fun-filled programmes. There was a traditional Chinese lion dance, a lively rope skipping show performed by students, a presentation for the CityU marathon team, and songs by Mr Sunny Lee Wai-kwong, Vice-President (Administration), and Professor Richard Allen, Dean of the School of Creative Media, together with other staff members.

President Kuo added to the fun by joining in the singing, and the party concluded with great anticipation for the lucky draw.
