We support, on a law-abiding basis, rational discussion and we accommodate a range of views in the spirit of mutual respect and collegiality.

Asserting political neutrality ensures that we maintain academic freedom and campus autonomy and safeguard the academic governance of the University from external interference. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni should not use CityUHK, including our brand, properties, and resources, for the promotion of personal political viewpoints or individual agendas outside our core missions of teaching, research and knowledge transfer. Academic freedom and campus autonomy stand among our core values and must be respected.
