A long-term strategic partnership between City University of Hong Kong (CityU), Kunming Institute of Precious Metals and Sino-platinum Metals Co. Ltd will strengthen cooperation in scientific research, technology and talent development.

 

The agreement, which was signed on 9 October, details the partnership, including the set-up of a platform for precious metals research, a workstation for experts, research on new materials for precious metals, and joint training for postgraduate students.

Kunming Institute of Precious Metals, founded in 1938, was the first scientific organisation in China to lead a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach to precious metals research, and is one of the three renowned precious metals research institutes in the world.
