Professor Way Kuo, University President, was elected unanimously a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering during the general meeting of the Academy on 23 May 2014 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of engineering science and practice and promoting modern technological innovations.

 

One of the few well-known scholars with multiple memberships at world-class academies, Professor Kuo is also a Member of the US National Academy of Engineering and Academia Sinica in Taiwan, and a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

 

A pioneer in reliability research of systems at their infant stage, Professor Kuo is renowned for his work in designing the reliability of electronics systems. His book, Optimization of Systems Reliability, is deemed a classic in reliability studies.
