On 12 January 2025, Professor Chan Chi-hou, Vice-President (Community Engagement) and Professor Steve Wong, Associate Vice-President (Community Engagement), attended the Strive and Rise Programme Graduation Ceremony at the Kai Tak Arena to celebrate the accomplishments of the mentees who have completed the year-long programme. The ceremony featured 4,000 graduates from the second cohort, who not only showcased their learning achievements to representatives from the Government, business sector, and community but also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the mentors who have provided unwavering care and support throughout their journey.

The Strive and Rise Programme is formulated and implemented by an interdepartmental task force led by the Chief Secretary for Administration. Through tripartite collaboration among the Government, the business sector and the community, the Programme provides focused support for Secondary One to Secondary Four students from underprivileged families. CityUHK is one of the supporting organisations.
