City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and the University of Exeter have built an extensive cooperative relationship this year. This partnership was solidified by the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in May and by the University of Exeter becoming an academic and research partner of the CityUHK Institute of Digital Medicine (IDM) in April, alongside other prestigious institutions.

On 9 December, a CityUHK delegation led by Professor Kevin Downing, Secretary to Council, and comprising senior management, visited the University of Exeter. During this visit, they met with the senior management team to discuss the implementation of their research and education collaborations, as well as a wide range of other potential collaborative opportunities.

During the meeting, both universities exchanged views on enhancing communication and exploring collaboration across various topics, including the implementation details of the IDM partnership and interdisciplinary academic and research collaboration opportunities, aiming to enhance the joint positive impact globally and foster greater academic and research synergies between the two universities.

The continuous collaboration underscores the commitment of both CityUHK and the University of Exeter to advancing academic excellence and innovation through robust and dynamic partnerships.
