Professor FANG Meng Mandy was awarded the 2023 Buxbaum Prize for Teaching in Comparative Law
The School of Law is delighted to announce that Professor FANG Meng Mandy was awarded the Richard M. Buxbaum Prize for Teaching in Comparative Law from the Younger Comparativists Committee (YCC) of the American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL).
The YCC created the Buxbaum Prize in the summer of 2014 in honour of Professor Richard M. Buxbaum, the 2014 recipient of the ASCL Lifetime Achievement Award. The Buxbaum Prize for Teaching in Comparative Law is awarded by the YCC in collaboration with the ASCL Prizes Committee in recognition of teaching excellence in any subject of comparative public or private law by an early stage scholar (who has been teaching Comparative Law for less than 10 years) in a tenure-track position at an ASCL Member Institution.
Prof. FANG joined the CityU School of Law as an Assistant Professor in July 2020. Her research interests focus on the interface between international trade, environmental protection, and energy transition. Her publications appear in journals such as the Virginia Journal of International Law, Leiden Journal of International Law, World Trade Review, Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, Journal of World Trade, Utilities Policy, Journal of World Energy Law & Business, and edited books published by Cambridge University Press, among others.

青年比較主義者委員會於 2014 年設(shè)立了 Richard M. Buxbaum比較法教學(xué)獎，以紀(jì)念2014 年美國比較法學(xué)會終身成就獎得主 Richard M. Buxbaum 教授。該教學(xué)獎由 YCC 與 ASCL 獎項(xiàng)委員會共同頒發(fā)，以表彰教授比較法年資不到 10 年的年輕學(xué)者在比較法公法或私法學(xué)科中的卓越教學(xué)表現(xiàn)。
方教授於2020年7月加入香港城市大學(xué)法律學(xué)院擔(dān)任助理教授。 她的研究興趣涵蓋國際貿(mào)易、環(huán)境保護(hù)和能源轉(zhuǎn)型之間的交叉領(lǐng)域。 方教授的著作曾發(fā)表在 《維吉尼亞國際法期刊》，《萊頓國際法期刊》、《世界貿(mào)易評論》、《範(fàn)德堡跨國法期刊》《世界貿(mào)易雜誌》、《公用事業(yè)期刊》、以及《世界能源法與商業(yè)期刊》等期刊上以及由劍橋大學(xué)出版社出版的書章中。
