Hong Kong Commercial and Maritime Law Centre organized a conference entitled “The Interface Between Trust Law and Contract Law in Express Trusts Conference” on 14 December 2021.

Distinguished scholars from Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Japan and China were convened to discuss the interface between trust law and contract law in express trusts from comparative and practical perspectives.

The conference began with welcoming remarks given by the moderator, Dr Hui JING, School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. Dr Jing explained the background against the conference and expressed the great honour and privilege to have the outstanding international scholars here.

The conference consisted of two panels, Common Law session and Civil Law session, each followed by discussion. The topics of the presentations are as follows (according to presentation order).

The conference ended with Dr Jing’s word of thanks. He again expressed his sincere gratitude to the speakers and participants for giving the thought-provoking presentations and insightful discussions.
