The first seminar of the CityU Master of Laws in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (LLMArbDR) Seminar Series 2024 was held at the CityU HK Tech 300 Co-working space in Admiralty on 29 February 2024. Mr Richard Ho, Chief Executive Officer of China Machine New Energy Corporation, was invited to be the speaker who delivered the talk on “The Good, Bad and Ugly of Using Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods to Resolve Cross-border Disputes”. Around 80 students, alumni and members of the Hong Kong Mediation Council and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers attended the talk.

The Seminar Series is hosted by the School of Law, CityU and co-organised by the Hong Kong Mediation Council and the Construction Dispute Resolution Committee of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

The next seminar will be held on 21 March 2024 by Mr Chi Man Kwan, Group CEO and Founder of Raffles Family Office. He will speak on “A Case Study on the Strategic Application of Mediation in Family Dispute Resolution”. Please stay tuned!
