The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) was established on 1 July 2017.  Being the first of its kinds in Hong Kong, our aims is to develop internationally competitive and leading-edge research and provide a professional education curriculum that equips graduates to contribute to Hong Kong, the Greater China, and the whole world in materials science and engineering and related sectors.  Since our establishment in July, our faulty team, with local and international scholars, getting bigger and stronger. As the Acting Head of an elite department, we always welcome experts in the field of materials science and engineering to join us. The new academic year is just started.  I look forward to creating a new bright chapter for MSE, with the support from our faculty and students.
