Prof. Angus Yip is newly elected as the member of the Young Member Section of the HKAES, he is one of the two faculty members in CityUHK elected as YMS members this year.

The Young Member Section (YMS) is a subset of The Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Science (HKAES) and is specifically tailored for young professionals in the field of engineering. YMS membership is open to individuals at or under the age of 45 at the time of admission. They are entrusted with important duties aimed at advancing engineering and science development in Hong Kong.

The HKAES awarded Prof. Yip the HKEST Award in April 2024, and this is once again a solid proof of his contributions to materials science and engineering.
