Professor Xin Wang, Dean of CityUHK’s College of Science (CSCI), presented the College of Science Medal 2024 to CHEUNG Chun Hei (Alex), a 2024 Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics graduate.

Professor Qi Liu from the Department of Physics under the College of Science (CSCI), City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), has been awarded the Young Collaborative Research Grant (YCRG) under RGC's Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) 2024/25.

Professor Zonglong Zhu from the Department of Chemistry under the College of Science (CSCI), City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has been awarded the Research Grants Council (RGC)’s Research Impact Fund (RIF) for the year 2024/25.

At the 4th Asia Exhibition of Innovations & Inventions Hong Kong (AEII), three Gold Award-winning and two Silver Award-winning teams comprise members from the College of Science (CSCI).

Sixteen students from the College of Science (CSCI) have recently taken on the rewarding role of science teachers at Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School: delivering engaging science lessons to Form 2 students. This innovative teaching scheme has not only benefited the secondary students but has also provided valuable teaching experience for CSCI students, enhancing their educational journey.

College of Science (CSCI)’s chemist is once again recognised by academic bodies. Professor Guangyu Zhu, Head and Professor of the Department of Chemistry, recently received the James Hoeschele AsBIC Award from the Asian Biological Inorganic Chemistry (AsBIC).
