Risk Assessment Reporting System (RARS)
The RARS is officially launched on 1st Nov 2021. It is a unique, innovative, and efficient tool for project/course leaders or their delegates to conduct, review, document, and manage risk assessment reports in this system. You may find the system in the CityUHK service portal.
Linkage with the Chemical Control System and Radiation Control System on 1st Jul 2022:
After two rounds of consultation with the lab-based departments, it was agreed that the grace period for lab-based courses is from 1st Nov 2021 to 30th Apr 2022, and the grace period for lab-based projects is from 1st Nov 2021 to 30th Jun 2022.
On 1st Jul 2022, the RARS linked up with the Chemical Control System (CCS) and the Radiation Control System (RCS).
Any projects/courses without conducting a risk assessment with chemical or radiation safety approval may not be allowed to purchase any chemicals or radiation substances under the CCS or RCS.

Project/course leaders may need to register a new delegate or delete an existing delegate to assist them in conducting a risk assessment from time to time. To cater for this need, project/course leaders may email your request to lsu.compliance@cityu.edu.hk.
