With over four decades of experience in the IT industry and university education, Dr Louis Ma has made significant contributions in various domains, including strategic planning, business transformation and entrepreneurship, outsourcing and project management, e-business, e-learning, outcomes-based education, and innovative talent development.
Dr Ma has revolutionised professional education by introducing courses on emerging technologies and improving student learning experiences. He co-developed unique degree programs such as "e-business" and "global business systems management," and enhanced Assurance of Learning in the College of Business. His design of CityU's award-winning i-MBA system and the first innovative Information Systems master's degree program in Hong Kong further demonstrates his commitment to educational innovation.
Dr Ma's dedication to talent development is exemplified by his receipt of the CityU Teaching Excellence Award and his advisory roles to professional bodies and tertiary education communities. He has also served on the judging panel for prestigious awards, including the Asian Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA), HKICT Awards, and HKJC Coolthink projects.
