RGC Research Impact Fund (RIF) 2024-25

Prof. Xinge YU (MNE), Prof. Chunyi ZHI (MSE) and Prof. Zonglong ZHU (CHEM) have received Research Impact Fund (RIF) 2024-25, securing total HKD 16.9 M.

RIF aims to encourage local academics to consider and articulate the potential of research to deliver benefits to the wider community, to encourage more impactful and translational research projects, and to encourage a greater volume of collaborative research beyond academia (e.g. with government departments, the business sector, the industry and research institutes).

Young Collaborative Research Grant 2024/25

Prof. Jian WANG (SEE) and Prof. Qi LIU (PHY) secured Young Collaborative Research Grant 2024/25, with total funding of HKD 8.5 M. 

The CRF aims to foster multi-investigator, multi-disciplinary projects to encourage more research groups to engage in creative, high-quality, cross-disciplinary / cross-institutional projects.

Three members of HKICE received funding from the 2024/25 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Research Grants Council (RGC).

Two of the projects were funded under  the Collaborative Research Scheme (CRS), while one project was funded under the Joint Research Scheme (JRS).
