Research by CSCI faculty is once again recognised internationally. The research paper entitled “Which Micropollutants in Water Environments Deserve More Attention Globally?” published in Environmental Science & Technology, has been selected by the American Chemical Society as the first joint winner in the category “Critical Review” in the 2022 Environmental Science and Technology Best Paper Awards.

Professor Kenneth Leung, Professor Guangyu Zhu, and Professor Zonglong Zhu, have been awarded the Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) in 2023/24.

This year, CSCI is pleased to launch a brand-new Distinguished Alumni Award, which aims to recognise and honour CSCI alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and/or made distinct and impactful contributions to CSCI, CityUHK or the Society.

Professor Chun Kit Kwok, Associate Professor from the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded the 2024 RNA Society Early-Career Research Award. He is the first Hong Kong scientist awarded in this early-career category and the only Chinese among all awardees this year.
