Professor Xunli Wang, Head and Chair Professor of the Department of Physics, has been awarded the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship 2021 for his excellent scientific research achievements.

Professor Lee Chun Sing, Head and Chair Professor of the Department of Chemistry, has received The President’s Award 2020 for his exemplary contributions to research and professional education, that helped the University achieve local and global distinctions.

Scientists from the College of Science have been listed as the “Highly Cited Researchers” by Clarivate Analytics for 2020 in respective categories of Chemistry, Cross-Field, Engineering and Materials Science.

Professor Raymond Chan, Dean of the College of Science and Professor Tong Yang, Chair Professor of the Department of Mathematics, have been elected as Fellows of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) of Class 2021.

Ms. Mei Yan Li, a third-year student from the Department of Mathematics, was awarded the Outstanding Internship Award from Carrier Hong Kong Limited in recognition of her excellent performance during her summer internship under the Industrial Attachment Scheme.

Professor Nora Tam, Chair Professor of Department of Chemistry, has been conferred the title of Emeritus Professor upon her retirement on 1 July 2020 in recognition of her distinguished contributions to education, research and professional services during her service at the University.
