A group of 75 enthusiastic students and faculty members from the College of Science and College of Engineering embarked on an educational excursion to BIEL Crystal in Huizhou on 25 October. This visit aimed to provide students with first-hand insight into the advanced technologies and manufacturing processes involved in the production of high-quality glass components widely used in smart digital and wearable devices, AR/VR glasses and the automotive industry.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by BIEL Crystal’s representatives, who provided an overview of the company’s history and its pivotal role in the global market. Students were particularly captivated by the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The highlight of the visit was a guided tour of the manufacturing facility. Students had the opportunity to observe the intricate processes involved in creating crystal glass products.
