Congratulations to our fresh graduate Miss CHAN Lok Lam (Anessa) on receiving the College Medal 2021!
Anessa is our 2021 graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She is a talented student with distinguished academic performance. During her studies at CityU, she has received many scholarships and awards and was on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. Anessa has also demonstrated her potential in research. In summer 2019, she participated in a research project entitled “Synthesis and characterization of new ligands for metal complexation” and won the Best Oral Presentation Award.
Besides academic and research performance, Anessa has been very active in various extra-curricular activities and volunteer services since she was in high school. In recent years, she contributed to the University’s Peer Assisted Learning Scheme using Supplemental Instruction in 2018/19, as well as being the Treasurer of the inaugural Student Chapter of the College of Science in 2020/21. She is currently a Class Liaison Ambassador under the CityU Alumni Ambassador Scheme, putting her efforts in connecting fellow classmates and alumni with her alma mater.
The College of Science Medal is awarded annually to a final-year undergraduate student in recognition of his/her outstanding academic performance and well-rounded personal qualities.
