The Global Talent Flow and Its Impacts

How Hong Kong can compete in the global battle for talent? This project proposes to monitoring and predicting the international flow of high-end talents, with the aim to help Hong Kong stem the brain drain and maintain competitiveness. To this end, we propose a talent flow dashboard by synthesizing multiple sources of data and model the global talent competitive index for major cities. For this project, we will collect data from existing databases and create a model to assess the dynamic talent flow. Talent competitive index will be assessed from multiple aspects. This model will help the government and high-tech companies to assess the level of talent competitiveness, adjust strategies to stem the trend of brain drain.
