On 10 October 2023, the CityU Arts Festival 2023/24 was grandly kicked off with a fabulous orchestral concert, CityU Philharmonic Orchestra and HKDP Ensemble Quintet: City Anime Fantasy, featuring the hottest Japanese Anime songs.
80 performers from the CityU Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Doujin Philharmonia Ensemble Quintet joined hands to present the opening concert, drawing a full house audience’s support! A series of Japanese Anime songs were presented, including Spirited Away Medley, Racing into the Night, Monster, etc. The two performance groups jointly premiered a specially arranged selection of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, taking the audience on a journey through the ups and downs of the diversified anime world, winning rounds of applause and summarising this unforgettable evening!
