管中閔教授
Professor Chung-ming Kuan

管中閔教授於1989年獲美國加州大學聖地牙哥分校經濟博士學位，現任國立臺灣大學校長，「臺大講座」教授，財務金融系特聘教授。管教授先後擔任美國伊利諾大學香檳分校助理教授和長聘副教授，國立臺灣大學經濟系正教授，中央研究院經濟研究所特聘研究員及所長。他於2002 年當選為中央研究院院士，2014 年復獲選為世界科學院 (TWAS) 院士。管教授於 2012 年被任命為行政院政務委員，次年兼任經濟建設委員會主任委員，再一年為國家發展委員會首任主任委員，但於 2015 年辭職後重返臺大。

Professor Chung-ming Kuan received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of California, San Diego, in 1989. He was an assistant professor and associate professor with tenure at the Department of Economics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1989-1996), full professor at the Department of Economics, National Taiwan University (1994-1999), and a distinguished research fellow and the director of the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica (1999-2009). He was elected as an Academician of Academia Sinica in 2002 and a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) in 2014. Professor Kuan was appointed as a Minister without Portfolio in the Executive Yuan in 2012 and later also served as Minister of the Council for Economic Planning and Development (2013-2104) and Minister of the National Development Council (2014-2015). He returned to National Taiwan University in 2015 and currently serves as President and Chair Professor of National Taiwan University.
