Ms Stella LEUNG is the course leader for the Corporate and Commercial Practice course in the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) Programme. She was Programme Director of the PCLL Programme from 2016–2018.
Ms. Leung was in private practice for 14 years before joining academia. She was a partner at O’Melveny& Myers LLP, where she advised clients on a variety of commercial matters in the manufacturing, financial, high-tech, media and securities industries. She has extensive experience in international transactions, from direct investment by multi-nationals into China, structuring of business operations, to cross-border capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Being a native of Hong Kong, she received her tertiary and legal education in the United States and was admitted to practise law in Texas, California and Hong Kong.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms Leung has experience in the investment banking industry, having served as a vice president in the corporate finance division of a regional investment bank in Hong Kong.
