Students taking the undergraduate course, SEE2201 Introduction to Environmental Engineering, offered by the School participated in the visit to the Sha Tin Water Treatment Works of the Water Supplies Department (WSD) on 16 April 2014 (Wednesday).

A presentation on the water treatment process was first given to the delegation by the staff of WSD. After that, an on-site tour of the main control room and the filter beds was arranged so that the students could experience how the water treatment process works. The students' knowledge on water supply in Hong Kong had been enhanced through the on-site tour.
