Students taking the undergraduate courses, SEE3101 Thermosciences for Energy Conversion II and SEE3102 Energy Supply, offered by the School participated in the visit to The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited on 13 and 17 November 2014.

The students appreciated the presentation and video on how town gas was produced safely and environmentally friendly.  The usage of landfill gas not only minimized the wastage of energy, but also reduced the impacts caused by the landfill.  A guided tour around the site offered a chance for students to understand the steps of catalytic rich gas process.
