Under the Named Chair Professorship Scheme of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), two faculty members of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) have been named with endowed professors. They are Professor Wang Wenxiong, TUYF Chair Professorship in Oceanography, and Professor Michael Leung Kwok-hi, Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Professorship in Energy and Environment.

The Named Chair Professorship Scheme of CityU forms an integral part of the University’s commitment to excellence in research and professional education for the benefit of society. The Scheme seeks to attract world-class scholars to advance research and professional education at the University.

At CityU, 18 outstanding faculty members received Named Chair Professorship / Named Professorship in the Inauguration Ceremony at Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall, Lau Ming Wai Academic Building, CityU, on 11 October 2022.
