Mr. Xue Lichen, final-year student majoring in Energy Science and Engineering, won the Best Futuristic Design Award in the "Design the Future" Automotive Design Competition organized by International Motor Show (HK) Management Limited. The awarded design is known as "Maglev Self-Driving Electric Vehicle Design".

In order to encourage creativities and innovations of the younger generations, and to promote automotive designs and relevant R&D, International Motor Show (HK) Management Limited has rolled out the "Design the Future" Automotive Design Competition for Hong Kong tertiary students earlier. The competition encouraged participants to create their distinctive cars for the year 2050 in Hong Kong.
