Dr. Lin Zhang, Assistant Professor of SEE,  was invited by the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) to deliver a Webinar on “Moving Green: Opportunities and Challenges of China’s Recovery Plan” in July 2020.
After restrictive lockdown and quarantine policies to contain the COVID-19 in the past few months, China has started to recover its economy with governmental aids. This talk provides an overview of the direct economic impact and the associated indirect environmental impacts of COVID19, and highlight the challenges it may bring to the fight for climate change with current recovery plan in China.
