ABSTRACT
In this talk, we systematically investigate the global smooth solutions or geometric blowup of nonlinear wave equations with a class of short pulse initial data (firstly introduced by D.Christodoulou in 2009), and the related sufficient and necessary conditions are given. These works are joint with Prof. Xin Zhouping and Prof. Ding Bingbing.
