About the Scholarship
With an aim to encourage students from the Department of Mathematics to pursue postgraduate studies related to the field of Statistics and Data Science, Dr. Jingchen Monika HU has generously agreed to donate four scholarships each year to the University for two consecutive years with effect from 2022/2023.
About the Donor
Dr. Jingchen Monika HU is a statistician and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Vassar College. She received Ph.D. in statistics from Duke University Department of Statistical Science in 2015 (advisor: Jerry Reiter) and BSc in Computing Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, City University of Hong Kong in 2011.
