Biography
Prof. Angel Almendros graduated from the University of Murcia, Spain in 2000 where he obtained his DVM degree. After placements in the University of Lisbon, Portugal and University of Milan, Italy through Erasmus and Leonardo Da Vinci scholarships, he practiced in Spain, and the UK before moving to Hong Kong where he has been since 2011. Prof. Almendros is a specialist, board certified in Canine and Feline practice as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). He also holds a PGCertSc and a Master's Degree in Companion Animal Medicine from Massey University, New Zealand and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom
Prof. Almendros has been in Hong Kong since 2011, working in Primary Care and referral practice at CityU VMC as a Clinical Specialist in Canine and Feline practice. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences of the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences. He is an experienced educator and researcher, participates in local and international conferences as a speaker, and publishes regularly in scientific journals.
