Two Faculty Recognized as the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists 2024 by Stanford University

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is delighted to announce that two faculty members, including Professor Yi-Hui Christine Huang, Head and Chair Professor of the Department of Media and Communication, and Associate Professor Ki Joon Kim, have been recognized as the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists 2024 by Stanford University. This recognition highlights their remarkable achievements in their respective research fields.
Stanford’s list of the top 2% most-cited scientists identifies scholars who have published multiple highly cited papers, ranked according to various metrics of citation impact across diverse scientific fields and subfields, based on Scopus data up to the end of the citation year 2023. The selection criteria include the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field.
