We are filled with immense pride and anticipation as we approach our milestone 30th anniversary since achieving university status, a momentous occasion that allows us to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and look to an even more exciting future.

The Chinese saying “三十而立" translates as "at thirty, one should stand firm", a principle applicable to CityUHK. Over the past thirty years CityUHK has firmly established itself as a world-leading university which has continued to look to the future as its reputation has grown exponentially across the globe.

By innovating into the future, CityUHK continues to establish and develop a robust and scholarly institution dedicated to nurturing young talent through innovation, thereby enabling us to make significant contributions to Hong Kong, the Mainland, and the world by producing groundbreaking research and solutions which help solve our most pressing global challenges.

The 30th anniversary logo encapsulates our transformation and growth with a refreshed, youthful, and dynamic visual image that reflects our evolution and commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

Our 30th anniversary celebrations, which begin in January 2024, will feature events that highlight our accomplishments, our exceptional students, our faculty's world-class research, and our extensive local and international network of friends and supporters, all of whom have contributed to CityUHK's standing as an outstanding higher education institution.
