CityU Alumni Reunion Gala 2023 cum 20th Anniversary of Alumni Ambassador Scheme (6-20 October)
The CityU Alumni Reunion Gala 2023, organised by the Alumni Relations Office (ARO) in October, marks the 20th anniversary of the Alumni Ambassador Scheme at CityU. A series of events were arranged for CityU alumni to celebrate the spirit of "Caring by Serving", which has been at the core of the scheme since its establishment in 2003.
The Gala featured a series of heartwarming events organised by CityU academic units, alumni associations, and ambassadors. Alumni and other university members were invited to immerse themselves in over 10 unique gatherings that resonated with their interests and passions.
From indoor golfing reunion and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course to alumni banquets and networking sessions, the diverse range of activities offered something for everyone. The Gala provided an excellent opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their peers and other university members, fostering a sense of camaraderie and reminiscing about cherished memories from their time at CityU.
The most notable event was the 20th Anniversary Ceremony of the Alumni Ambassador Scheme cum Alumni Leaders Gathering. Taking place on 14 October 2023, this special gathering saw the participation of 30 alumni leaders, including chairpersons and representatives from 20 alumni groups, coming together to celebrate this significant milestone and foster valuable networking connections. Besides, the new Board for the CityU Alumni Ambassador Scheme was inaugurated, and the newly appointed Advisors will play a crucial role in advancing the objectives of the Alumni Ambassador Scheme in the upcoming 2 years.
The Alumni Reunion Gala was made possible through the support of enthusiastic alumni groups, as well as colleagues from various colleges, schools, and departments within CityU. Their collective efforts contributed to the success and significance of these memorable events.
